Stories live in text. Illustrations are expensive, slow, and hard to scale. We built a system that reads any narrative, pulls out what matters, and creates both a new story and original artwork. All through AI.

From theme to illustration in one pipeline

Five steps. Multiple models. Fully automated from input to final artwork.

01

Theme Selection

Choose a story title or genre to explore

02

Content Acquisition

Crawl and retrieve source material from the web

03

Feature Extraction

Extract characters, settings, themes as structured data

04

Story Generation

Create a new narrative from the extracted essence

05

Illustration

Generate visuals via dual diffusion models

Three genres, three transformations

We ran StoryGen on three very different source texts. Each time, it produced something genuinely new.

How to Forgive Your Dragon

Given the world of How to Train Your Dragon, StoryGen pulled out Viking settings, character dynamics, and themes of bravery. Then it reimagined the story around forgiveness and reconciliation.

Original How to Train Your Dragon illustration
Original Source Material
DALL-E generated dragon story illustration
DALL-E 3 Photorealistic
Stable Diffusion generated dragon story illustration
Stable Diffusion Stylized
Source Material
Conflict
Training dragons and proving one's worth in Viking society
Themes
Bravery, intelligence, and defying expectations
Worldbuilding
Viking society and their evolving relationship with dragons
Tone
Lighthearted, humorous, and action-driven

Conflict
Internal struggles of forgiveness and unity between humans and dragons
Themes
Emotional intelligence, reconciliation, and balancing tradition with progress
Worldbuilding
Introduces a prophecy, a hidden dragon council, and internal struggles within dragon society
Tone
Mature, introspective, and poetic, with themes of destiny and legacy

The AI shifted the narrative from external conflict to internal growth, turning a story about training dragons into one about forgiving them.

Echoes of the Shining

From Stephen King's The Shining, StoryGen absorbed the Overlook Hotel's claustrophobic dread and Danny's supernatural gifts. It then generated a story where the hotel targets Danny directly.

Stable Diffusion generated Shining illustration
Stable Diffusion Atmospheric
Source Material
Conflict
Jack succumbs to the hotel's influence, turning violent. The Overlook works through him.
Themes
Addiction, isolation, abuse, and psychological horror
Worldbuilding
The Overlook as a sentient antagonist with a dark history. The hedge maze is minimal.
Tone
Slow-burning psychological terror, deeply personal struggle
AI Reimagined
Conflict
The hotel directly targets Danny, manipulating his shining rather than using Jack as a vessel.
Themes
Supernatural horror, psychological manipulation, Danny's power as a gateway to the hotel's past
Worldbuilding
The hedge maze is central. The Overlook feels more like a cursed force preying on Danny.
Tone
More cinematic, heightened suspense, and direct supernatural horror

Rather than filtering horror through Jack's descent, the AI confronted Danny directly. The child becomes both the target and the weapon against the Overlook.

The Fall of the Empire

Fed historical accounts of Napoleon's campaigns, StoryGen extracted the strategic brilliance and human cost. Then it reimagined the narrative through Napoleon's own conscience.

Worldbuilding

Introspective and philosophical

The AI transformed a historical account into a philosophical meditation, giving Napoleon an inner life that history books rarely afford him.

Two rendering engines, one pipeline

Pick the visual style that fits your story. Each engine brings a different aesthetic.

DALL-E 3

  • Cinematic and photorealistic. Dramatic lighting, high contrast, film-quality rendering.
  • Strong feature preservation. Maintains core characters, settings, and compositional themes.
  • Narrative depth. Images suggest story moments, not just static scenes.
  • Consistent quality. Reliable output across genres and prompts.

Stable Diffusion 3 Turbo

  • Stylized and artistic. Bold colors, illustrated aesthetic, painterly quality.
  • Creative interpretation. Takes more liberties with source material for artistic effect.
  • Atmospheric strength. Excels at mood and tone, sometimes at the cost of detail accuracy.
  • Occasional detail drift. May alter specific elements like tricycles becoming bicycles.

Multi-model architecture

StoryGen connects large language models with diffusion models in a single automated pipeline. No manual steps between input and output.

The system starts with intelligent web crawling to gather source material, then uses LLM-powered feature extraction to break stories into structured data: characters, settings, themes, and illustration cues.

That structured representation feeds a story generation model that writes new narratives while keeping thematic depth intact. Finally, a dual image pipeline produces illustrations through both DALL-E 3 and Stable Diffusion 3 Turbo, giving you two distinct visual styles for every scene.
